Hyderabad, June 01 (ANI): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA A Revanth Reddy has been taken into custody for allegedly trying to bribe a nominated member of the state assembly.
According to reports, Reddy was arrested after the member, Elvis Stephenson, lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Reddy and his aide had gone to Stephenson’s residence in Secunderabad to hand over the cash when the ACB caught the two.
Revanth Reddy was sent to 14 days judicial custody. However, the court allowed him to cast his vote for MLC elections. Meanwhile, TDP MLAs staged a protest outside Anti Corruption Bureau office over the arrest of Revanth Reddy. Further details are awaited.
