Mumbai, July 01 (ANI): Indofil chairman and managing director Krishan Kumar Modi on Wednesday said that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s husband, Swaraj Kaushal’s name was never considered for the post of director, adding that the appointment was a mere suggestion by Lalit Modi. KK Modi said that Lalit Modi gave a proposal that Kaushal can become an alternate Director but it was withdrawn before the Board could consider it. He added that the board never had any discussions with Kaushal regarding the same. The controversy surrounding Lalit Modi and ministers had gone hot when reports emerged that Union Minister Sushma Swaraj’s husband was offered job post by absconder Lalit Modi. Meanwhile, Kaushal said that he has been Lalit Modi’s lawyer for more than 20 years adding that he was offered to be Alternate Director on Indofil Board but on not giving consent the request was withdrawn.
