Bengaluru, July 31 (ANI): Bengaluru Red FM show ‘Morning Number one with Disha’ has been declared the best information/news talk show globally at New York Festival’s Best Radio Awards. Programme Director Manu Tripathi said that it was an honour for Superhits 93.5 Red FM as it bagged the award among various international competitors. Tripathi said that it was a ‘very big honour’ as they launched the radio station two and a half years ago in Bengaluru and converted it from a Kannada to a Hindi Bollywood station. He further said that they always took up topics that made a difference or an impact to the city. The two entries sent by Tripathi to the New York forum were based on the ‘Nirbhaya’ case and ‘Section 377’. He attributed the success to the subjects, which were very powerful, and the presentation. The prestigious ‘New York Radio Best Festival’ is also known as Oscar Awards for radio. The award ceremony was held on June 22.
