Central govt signs historic peace accord with NSCN (IM) (Part – 1)

New Delhi, Aug 03 (ANI): The Central government has signed a historic peace accord with Nagaland’s insurgent group Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) on Monday. The General Secretary of NSCN (IM) Thuingaleng Muivah said that his group has come to improve the understanding between Nagas and the Central government. The NSCN (IM) also presented a jacket and shawl as gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi said that he deeply admires the people of Nagaland for their rich cultural heritage. He added that peace, security and economic transformation of the northeastern states is the priority of his government. Modi also thanked Home Minister Rajnath Singh for his contribution, support and advice for the development of north-east.
