PM Modi meets President-elect of UNGA

New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met President-elect of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Mogens Lykketoft, in New Delhi. The talks revolved around reformed United Nations Security Council (UNSC). India pressed its demand for a permanent seat in the UNSC during talks. Modi is scheduled to visit New York in the last week of September to attend the UNGA session. Lykketoft will succeed Uganda’s Sam Kutesa as President of UNGA in September.
