New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): Political leaders on Thursday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in the Parliament on his 71st birth anniversary. Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Former PM Manmohan Singh and senior BJP leader LK Advani paid floral tributes at Gandhi’s portrait inside the Parliament. Congress President and wife of Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi also paid homage to former PM. Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh and others were also present while paying homage to the former PM. Birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi is observed as Sadbhavna Diwas (harmony day) in the country. He became the youngest PM of the country when he took office at the age of 40 after his mother Indira Gandhi’s assassination on October 31, 1984.
