BJP causes traffic jam in Delhi over suspension of MLA OP Sharma from assembly

NEW DELHI, Nov 30 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday staged a protest against the suspension of party’s MLA OP Sharma from the Delhi assembly for the entire session. Raising slogans against the Delhi government, the protesters took out a protest march in Nirman Vihar area of east Delhi adjacent to Sharma’s constituency of Vishwas Nagar. The crowd blocked traffic and burnt effigies of Kejriwal as well as AAP legislator Alka Lamba, against whom Sharma had made derogatory remarks which led to his suspension from the house on November 26. Sharma was suspended on November 24 initially for two days but AAP lawmakers on November 26 passed a resolution in the assembly to extend his suspension for the entire session. The assembly session began on November 18 and would end on December 4. The BJP had organised similar protests outside the Delhi Assembly on November 27.
