Pune, Feb 07 (ANI): Addressing a press conference over the much-debated issue of Shani Shingnapur temple, Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar on Sunday asserted that women have equal rights with respect to men and should be allowed to offer their prayers at any religious place. He further stated that women priests should also be deployed at various religious shrines nationwide.The temple drew attention in November 2015 after a woman had offered prayers at the popular shrine in ‘breach’ of the age-old practice of prohibiting entry of women, after which the temple committee had to suspend seven security men.
