Bastar, May 29 (ANI): In a major boost to security operations, at least 40 Maoists surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district on Sunday. Police said the mass surrender happened as a result of the death of four Maoists in special operations. The surrendered Maoists were awarded cheques by Bastar Collector Amit Kataria. Revealing details, Kataria said that an initial cheque of Rs. 10,000 has been given to the surrendered Naxals and assured that all necessary help would be provided in their rehabilitation.
