Madhesi Morcha and 27 of its coalition partners hold protest in Nepal

NEPAL, May 01 (ANI): The workers of Democratic Madhesi Morcha and its allies waved black flags in Kathmandu in protest against the government on day two of their protest. The protesting party workers staged demonstration outside various government offices in the capital, as they pressed for their demands. Madhesis protested for six long months but according to protestors, their demands were not met by the government and this time protestors have also decided for gherao of Singh Darbar. Madheshis feel that they have been denied their basic rights. With the new phase of their peaceful movement, they hope to achieve all they want through negotiations with the government. Due to the Madhesi agitation, Nepal ‘s industrial sector has incurred losses worth 200 billion Nepalese rupees. More than 50 people were killed in protests.
