Three years after horrid naxal attacks, this is how Jiram Ghati looks

Jiram Ghati, May 29 (ANI): These roads lead to the place which has been struggling to revive the horrendous attacks which shook the existence of the place called Jiram Ghati in Chhattisgarh. Maoists in this region massacred nearly three dozen Congress workers and leaders by ambushing their cavalcade close to Darbha valley in Bastar district on May 25 in 2013. Imminent leaders like Pradesh Congress Committee chief Nand Kumar Patel, Bastar Tiger Mahendra Karma, Congress legend Vidya Charan Shukla, Uday Mudaliyar lost their lives. With some positive headway in the case, the area has progressed and the locals residing in nearby villagers have felt the change. May 25 marked the third anniversary of the horrid attacks but no one wants to speak about the Jiram incident nor about information on Naxals. The remains of bombed vehicles, slippers, bottles and others can still be seen lying on the spot. More than 55,000 armed jawans are deployed in Maoist stronghold Bastar. There is one security guard per 56 people here as against 139 jawans per 1 lakh people in the country. Despite such security, people here live in fear.
