Traffic police go tech-savvy, introduce camera-fitted uniforms

Agra, June 25 (ANI): Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra city have introduced body-worn cameras for their traffic cops who will record videos and still images aimed to increase transparency, legitimacy and a sense of justice. A total of nine cameras were given to sub traffic inspectors by superintendent of police for Agra traffic. Traffic SP Rajesh Kumar said that when vehicles are stopped, many a times the police are blamed for the mis-happening. He added that all the policemen would be given cameras which will record voice, images and videos. If the complainant alleges some sort of allegations, the cameras would be probed to fix charges.
