Kolkata, July 29 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday paid tribute to eminent writer and social activist Mahasweta Devi who passed away at a city nursing home on Thursday following prolonged illness. The writer’s grandson also fondly remembered his time with the Magsaysay awardee. Devi expired following cardiac arrest and multi-organ failure. She was 90.
