India-Pakistan begin DGMO level talks in Lahore

Lahore, July 27 (ANI): The two-day talks between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers began at Punjab Rangers headquarters in Lahore on Wednesday to discuss matters pertaining to border management. The talks between the two sides are a bi-annual affair, but many times these meetings have been cancelled due to tensions prevailing between two countries. The delegation from India is being led by Director General Border Security Force K K Sharma, while from Pakistan it is being led by Major General Umar Farooq Burki. The last such meeting between the two sides was held in New Delhi in September 2015.
