New Delhi, Aug 27 (ANI): Union Minister for Surface Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that the prices of onions are falling sharply. Gadkari stated that Nirmala Sitharaman has launched an MEIS scheme under which when onions will be exported, and five percent of the grant will be given to exporters. He also said that this grant will be given to onion exporters as a coupon; he/she can use it for imports or can withdraw as money. Gadkari expressed hope that because of the MEIS scheme more exporters will come forward to export onions.
