Pune, Oct 24 (ANI): The Haji Ali Dargah Trust on Monday replied to the Supreme Court that it is ready to implement the Bombay High Court’s verdict that granted permission to the women to enter the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine. Bhumata Brigade activist Trupti Desai, who has been the face of revolt against differences in religious rights granted to the second gender, reflected joy over the decision. The decision will set an example for other religions also to give fair and equal rights to the women devotees visiting various holy places, she said. In August earlier this year, the Bombay High Court held that the ban contravened articles 14, 15 and 25 of the constitution and ordered the Haji Ali’s trust to let women enter the sacred spot.
