10 Indian youths facing death row pardoned by UAE court

Abu Dhabi, Mar 24 (ANI): At least ten Punjabi men have been pardoned by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) court after the father of the Pakistani man they had accidentally killed submitted a letter of pardon. The letter was given after the NGO Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust, run by NRI businessman SPS Oberoi, paid blood money of Rs 60 lakh in Pakistani currency to have the men released. The men were accused of killing Pakistani national Mohamaad Faran in July 2015 during a fight over bootlegging. Speaking on the same, the victim’s father Mohammad Izaz said that humanity was above all else.
