India may rule the Facebook if the present pace of increase in the number of Indian Facebook users continues for another 2 years. At present United States leads the number of users followed by Indonesia. India currently halts at number 3 as far as number of users are concerned. Indonesia has approximately 45 Million Facebook users while India as about 34 million users.
Vaughan Smith, Facebook’s vice president for mobile partnerships and corporate development said, “India is our third largest market in terms of number of users and what we’re excited about and why we’re here is because some time in the future, we think that India will pass first Indonesia, which should happen soon, and then US.â€
