Engineers from Bihar and Jharkhand are considered best when it comes to development of Software Products and IT Product roles. This was revealed in a study conducted by Aspiring minds.
The National Employability Study was conducted on 1.2 Lakhs Engineering Graduates in different states of the country. A sensational revelation states that Engineers from Delhi are best suited for IT, BPO, KPO and IT Services, those from Bihar and Jharkhand excel in the IT Products and Core Software Development.
Another interesting revelation is that both Delhi and Bihar share the second spot in IT Products and IT Services Categories.
Experts say that this result can be attributed to the existence of some of the premiere technical institutions in the region including IIT Kharagpur, ISM Dhanbad, BIT Mesra, BIT Patna, BIT Deoghar, NIT Jamshedpur, BIT Sindri, NIT Patna etc. Another big reason is the fostering of a technical ecosystem and environment which provokes every student to undertake and excel in technical field. No matter what, Bihar students dare to undertake heavy technical challenges and succeed.
Other sensational results of the study include
1. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Students lag behind in the average quality of talent.
2. States focus on numbers not on quality of education
3. In metros, Delhi has best engineers followed by Bangalore and Kolkata
4. Government College fare better than Private Colleges in terms of Employability.
5. The Employability percentage decreases with number of engineering colleges in a state establishing that opening more engineering colleges cannot solve the problem of quality of engineers.
