Wipro Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs.14.81 billion (Rs.1,481 crore) for fourth quarter (January-March) of fiscal 2011-12, registering an eight percent increase year-on-year (YoY) in rupee terms.
In a regulatory filing Wednesday, the IT bellwether said its total revenue increased 19 percent YoY to Rs.98.69 billion (Rs.9,869 crore) for the quarter (Q4) under review in rupee terms.
Under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), net income for the quarter is up eight percent YoY to $291 million and total income to $1.94 billion, an increase of 19 percent YoY.
Revenue from global IT services for Q4 is $1.54 billion, up by 9.7 percent YoY and two percent sequentially under IFRS and Rs.76 billion (Rs.7,590 crore) in rupee terms.
