Veteran Actor and First Bollywood Superstar Rajesh Khanna has passed away today at  his house Ashirwad at Bandra’s Carter Road. He was 70 years old and suffering from Bad Health for many days.
Khanna was admitted to Lilavati Hospital June 23 and spent two weeks there.
He  was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday but due to extreme weakness and low blood pressure the actor was on ventilator since last night.
He breathed his last in the presence of his wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Rinkie and Twinkle, son-in-law Akshay Kumar, grand children and close relatives.
He  has been battling health issues since April 1 when he was admitted due to weakness and fatigue and was discharged in three to four days.
Fondly known as Kaka, Khanna, who featured in hits like “Aaradhana” and “Amar Prem” in the 1970s, was out of limelight for many years. He recently acted in an advertisement.

He appeared in 163 feature films of which 128 as the lead protagonist including 106 as the solo lead hero films and 22 two hero projects and did 17 short films.  He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He received the maximum BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) – four times and nominated 25 times.
Khanna is referred to as the “First Superstar” of Hindi cinema. He made his debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat and rose to prominence with his performances in films like Raaz, Baharon Ke Sapne, Ittefaq and Aradhana.
