Bihar prepares for an Extravagant Bihar Diwas Celebrations

Patna: Bihar is preparing for an extravagant Bihar Diwas 2013 Celebrations this year. Also known as Bihar Day, this is celebrated every year starting from March 22 to commensurate the Birth of the State of Bihar.

The Official Celebrations would be kicked off at Gandhi Maidan on March 22 by CM Nitish Kumar. The Opening Ceremony would be a grand one with Laser Beam Shows along with the performance of renowned Bollywood Stars, Vocalist, Artists and Singers.

On the First Day, The Sri Krishna Memorial Hall shall remain occupied by the Classical Singers like Rajan and Sajan Mishra, who would play Hindustani Style on the Inaugural Day. Sonu Nigam would perform during the Inaugural Ceremony.

On the Second Day of Bihar Diwas Celebration, noted Flute Player Runu Mojumdar and Bharatnatyam Dancer Malvika Sarokai would perform. This day will also witness the performance of Alka Yagnik.

On Final Day, Violinist N Rajan and  renowned Singer Shobha Mudgal would perform her Fusion Sangeet. Noted Punjabi SInger Daler Mehendi  and Shikha Khare would also perform on this last day.

The three day celebrations would also witness the show  by eminent poets like Munawwar Rana,  Manglesh Dabral, Deepak Gupta, Shabina Adeeb, Nikhat Amrohwi, Arun Kamal, Kamal Ahmed Aziz, Vishnu Nagar, Rahat Indori and Viren Dangwal, Nida Fazli, Naresh Saxena, Neelesh Raghuvanshi, Alok Dhanwa, Kedar Nath Singh, Tahir Faraz, Suman Dubeyand Rajesh Joshi.

The Laser Shows would continue for  two days, depicting the Heritage and the Tourism in Bihar. These Laser beam shows would be hosted by a Bangalore based company named Tourism Technologies.

A Book Fair which is also the part of Bihar Diwas Celebration would begin on March 13  and continue till March 24.

About 18 Departments of Bihar Government would host  pavilions at Gandhi Maidan, while Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation would put up a Food Court.

The Government is pumping enormous amount of money to make the Celebrations Successful. The education department only is spending around Rs 1.75 crore on the celebrations.
