Bihar becomes Partner State for 33rd India International Trade Fair

Patna :  Bihar would be the Partner State for the 33rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, between 14th to 27th November. Being a Partner state of this year’s Trade Fair, Bihar would have its dedicated pavilion on “Inclusive Growth”. Different state govt departments, like agriculture, art and culture, infrastructure, road construction, industries, power, irrigation, education, health, information and technology, and social welfare would exhibit their projects.

Front fascia of Bihar Pavilion will be decorated as a model of “Bihar Agriculture University, Sabour”, says, Naveen Kumar Verma, Principal Secretary for Industries in Govt. of Bihar, after visiting the venue along with others to supervise the preparations of Bihar pavilion. They were satisfied with progress of works and Event Manager assured them to finish the work well within the time.

The 1,780 sqm pavilion will be decorated according to the theme, concept design and layout keeping in mind the traditions and culture of Bihar by Event Manager, Mod Interiors Pvt. Ltd which is working under the supervision of BIADA.

BIADA,  the nodal agency for the fair, has started preparations for establishing the pavilion and setting up the exhibition area according to the theme of this year’s IITF- Inclusive Growth.

Being a partner state in this fair, a separate Bihar’s food court will be the special attraction among the visitors. This food court – “Occasion” will be located at Hansdhwani theatre. Hall no. 1 and 2 at the ground floor of Pavilion will be decorated and showcasing according to the theme of fair and different department will showcase their projects, achievements and growths with special attraction in this hall. Hall no. 3 at ground floor will be dedicated to Handicraft, Handlooms and Agriculture of Bihar with their live demo and presentations. There would be 45 stalls on the first floor of  pavilion to serve as display-cum-sale counters.

This year Bihar Pavilion will also provide facilities for visitors to pay by credit cards.  Minister of Bihar Govt. Renu Kumari will be the chief guest of inauguration ceremony of 33rd IITF along with other guests on 14th November 2014. She will also inaugurate Bihar pavilion on 14th November 2014. Apart from the pavilion and food counters, the state day would be observed at the fair on November 22, which would be marked by cultural events, including folk dance, in the evening at Hansadhwani open air theatre. During the trade fair Bihar pavilion will also organize seminar on 22nd November and 23rd November 2013.

IITF  is a major tourist attraction and lakhs of people visit the fair every year. It provides a common platform for the manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers and displays a wide range of products and services. For IITF 2013, the Partner Country is  Japan, while Focus Country and Focus State are South Africa and Odisha respectively.
