Amrita Rai bagen her TV careerwith BAG Films. Later, she was with Star News and CNEB. Infact, She was one of the core members of Star News at the time of its inception.
She is married to Anand Pradhan who is a journalism educator, working as Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. They have filed for mutual Divorce.
Anand Pradhan is a BHU Alumnus and had worked with All India Radio in past. Presently he serves as Associate Professor of Feature Communication at IIMC.
Amrita is considered a good TV Anchor with a good grip and knowledge of literature and society. She is widely noted for her TV Programme Sarokaar. Amrita is said to present her view very logically, humbly and to the point.
