New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi would have a Boat Ride (Naav Pe Charcha) with French President Hollande during his France Visit. Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to depart for a three-nation tour on Thursday that takes him to France, Germany and Canada, all part of the G-7 group.
He added that PM Modi will be arriving in Paris tomorrow evening. He added that in Paris his first engagement will be two round table conferences with CEOs.
He further said that PM Modi and French President Francois Hollande will share a boat ride on the river Seine. During his visit in Germany, Ganga cleaning and rejuvenation will be part of agenda in discussions that PM will have there, he added.
The Canada leg of PM Modi’s trip is important as it will be first standalone prime ministerial visit in 42 years to that country. PM Modi will be visiting the Air India memorial, a gurdwara and a temple in Canada.
