One Rank One Pension was a pet scheme of UPA Govt, says A K Antony

New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): Accusing the Congress of politicizing the ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP) scheme for ex-servicemen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his government is committed to the scheme.

He said that the previous governments did not have the right to speak about the issue because they did nothing when they were in power.

Reacting over this Congress leader and former defence minister AK Antony on Friday said that the statement by the PM is totally incorrect.

He said that all the ground work for OROP was done by the UPA government. OROP scheme was announced last year and there has been a delay of 14 months which is criminal inaction on part of the government.
