British Elections: Cameron leads his rival Ed Miliband by just 1 Point

London: As UK goes out for Parliamentary Elections, incumbent Prime Minister David Cameron leads over his main rival Ed Miliband by just one point. The politicians are in the final hours of campaigning for what is termed as UK’s most tightly fought election in a generation. A Possibility of hung parliament or another coalition Government cannot be ruled out.

Cameron, however, remains optimistic. “I believe when the crunch comes, when they ask themselves the question: Do I trust Ed Miliband with the economy or do I want to stick with a plan and a team that’s turning the country round? I think we can do very well on Thursday and cross that line”, Cameron was quoted saying.

Ed Miliband is making his plea to undecided voters, telling them it’s time to remove Cameron from office.

“This is the clearest choice that has been put before the British people for a generation”, Ed Miliband said.

The UKIP, with its anti-immigration platform, is also seen as a contender for seats in Parliament..but The REAL kingmaker — in what might very well be another COALITION government — could be Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

He’s telling voters his Liberal Democrats party can keep a left-wing or right-wing government safely on ‘center’ ground.

“Above all, we will provide stability. We won’t allow the other parties to pull us to one extreme or the other”, Nick Clegg Said.

Five years ago, Britain formed its first coalition government since World War II, after Cameron failed to win an overall majority.

Voters then thought it was a ‘one-off’. But analysts say the chances of a decisive outcome on Thursday — or even by Friday — are slim.

And so, days, possibly even weeks, of negotiations between the parties may lie ahead — before the world’s fifth-largest economy forms its new government.
