Chennai, May 27 (ANI): CPI (M) targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over recent communal attacks and religious conversions in the country as his government completed an year in office.
General Secretary of CPI (M), Sitaram Yechury accused Modi of supporting vicious campaigns by right-wing Hindu outfits like the Vishwa Hindu Praishad. Yechury also took a dig at Modi’s ‘record’ foreign tours while in office.
Since coming to power last May, Modi has visited a number of countries including United States, China, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, South Korea and Singapore.
The central government has completed a year after winning a historic mandate on the plank of transparent governance and rapid economic growth, as then the Congress party-led government was beset with a series of scams and policy paralysis.
