The date of declaration of Karnataka CET 2015 Examination Results have been postponed till June 1st. Earlier it was scheduled to be announced on May 26. It is not clear if the results would be announced on June 1, or it would be further postponed.
The decision was taken by Higher Education Department after reports of discrepancy in the PUC(II) Exam 2015 Results surfaced. Several students organized protests against the erroneous results. The Result Declaration Date of COMEDK UGET 2015 has also been postponed to June 8.
The Erroneous results were published online on few website on May 18. Students launched protests against the authorities and demanded postponement of the results of CET and COMEDK. They feared that re-evaluation or re-totalling would impact their CET ranking.
The Department of Pre-University Education had received 2,825 applications for re-evaluation and 10,115 applications (for 20,623 papers) for photocopying. The revaluation and re-totalling fee has been waived off.
Karnataka State Education Kimmane Ratnakar said that the government would announce the Karnataka CET 2015 results only after clearing the applications filed by aggrieved students for re-evaluation and re-totalling of papers. He also said that efforts would be made to clear all applications for re-evaluation, re-totalling and photocopy of the answer scripts within a week.
