Bihar Bandh Impact: 32 Vehicles set afire by Naxals on Grand Trunk Road in Gaya

Gaya, May 25 (ANI): Maoists created chaos on NH 2 GT Road and set 32 vehicles on fire in an area Budhaul Wishanpur of Amas which is 70 km from the Gaya district following a two-day shut down called in the region.

The Naxals had announced a two-day shut down to protest against the killing, by security forces, of a woman cadre about a week ago in an encounter.

On May 17 in the jungle of Barachati of Gaya district, during the confrontation with Police, a woman Naxal Sarita Ganjhu was shot dead. The vehicles were set on fire post midnight as the bandh came into effect. Naxals through their activities created disorder on GT road and stopped the vehicles on the gun point.
