Narendra Modi invites invites Arvind Kejriwal for International Yoga Day event

New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): Cutting across party lines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government on Wednesday extended an invite to its arch rivals, president and vice-president of opposition Congress party, for upcoming International Yoga Day celebrations.

Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, will also be invited to the event. On December 11 last year, the United Nations declared that June 21 will be International Day of Yoga, adopting a measure proposed by Modi who said yoga lets people “discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.” Star attraction of the event will be Modi performing yoga at the public event, as part of his international drive to increase participation in the ancient Indian discipline.

Modi will be seen practicing physical poses and breathing control at the event on the country’s main ceremonial avenue, in the capital New Delhi.
