OROP: Delhi Police apologizes for using force on August 14, extends support to ex-servicemen

New Delhi, August 18 (ANI): Delhi Police Joint Commissioner MK Meena on Tuesday apologized to ex-servicemen for using force against them on August 14 and said the police force respects the protesting ex-servicemen. He added that what happened was due to some misunderstanding and confusion and extended his supports to the retired army personnel. The agitation of the ex-servicemen has entered its 65th day on Monday. Meanwhile, ten former service chiefs wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on One Rank One Pension or OROP mentioning the clamour that occurred due to police action taken against the protesters on the Independence Day.
