Jammu, August 02 (ANI): The AIIMS coordination committee on Sunday protested in Jammu town demanding premier health care hospital All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in their region. Today on the third day of shut down in the region, the committee took out protest in Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu. The AIIMS Coordination Committee comprises of various political and social organizations including opposition parties of Jammu and Kashmir- National Conference, Congress and Panthers Party. The central government has announced to set up a new AIIMS in Srinagar, summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The Centre has further announced that it plans to set up six new AIIMS in six different states in order to cater to the increasingly growing demands for more doctors across the country.
