New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a joint statement with Sri Lankan PM Ranil Wickremesinghe. Modi said that India has offered full support to Sri Lanka to strengthen connectivity between both nations. He assured his SL counterpart of continuing to deepen partnership in growth of infrastructure, railways, agriculture, science and technology. Modi also mentioned the recent test series that concluded in India’s victory, further stating that Kumar Sangakkara shall be missed on cricket fields.
Modi said that fishermen issue was also discussed with Sri Lankan PM adding that the issue should be seen as a humanitarian issue that affects livelihood. Modi also stated that India and Sri Lanka have a huge stake in each other’s success.
