New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): The US ambassador to India, Richard Verma, said on Monday that preparations were in full swing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country next week. Modi will arrive in New York on September 23, his second visit to the country since coming to power last year in May, to attend the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He will participate in the UN Summit on September 25. Verma said the US is ready and excited to host Modi once again. Last year during his maiden trip to the US, Modi was given a rockstar reception at Madison Square Garden. This time Modi is scheduled to visit Silicon Valley, which is home to technology giants like Google, Facebook and Apple, and invite them to invest in India. He is also expected to meet US President Barack Obama on September 28 to discuss economic and strategic ties between the two countries.
