Mother Teresa’s canonisation: Special mass held in Panaji, Ranchi

Ranchi/ Panaji, Sep 04 (ANI): Mother Teresa will be declared a saint by Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church in a canonisation ceremony in Vatican City on Sunday in the presence of over a lakh of her followers from all over the world. On the occasion Mother Teresa canonisation, special mass was held at Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji. Nuns in Ranchi have promised to celebrate the occasion with the poorest of the poor. Mother Teresa, who is formally known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, M.C., was a Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her work for the poor. In 1950, she founded the women’s congregation to help the poor.
