New Power Tarrif comes into effect in Bihar

People of Bihar would have to pay more for consuming electricity starting from today. The proposed hike in Power Tariffs has come into effect from today.

On an average Power Tariff have been hiked by 6.9 % for Rural Consumers and 9.3% for Urban Consumers.

The New Rate Slab is Mentioned below:

Urban Domestic Consumers

  • 1-100 units – Rs 2.85/unit
  • 101-200 units: Rs 3.50/unit
  • 201-300 units: Rs.  4.20 /unit
  • More than 300 units: Rs. 5.30/unit

Urban Commercial Consumers

  • 1-100 units – Rs 5.00/unit
  • 101-200 units: Rs 5.30/unit
  • More than 200 units: Rs.  5.70 /unit

Rural Consumers (< 2KV)

  • 1-50 units – Rs 2.00/unit
  • 50-100 units: Rs 2.30/unit
  • More than 100 units: Rs  2.70 /unit

Rural Commercial Consumers 

  • 1-100 units – Rs 2.30/unit
  • 101-200 units: Rs 2.70/unit
  • More than 200 units: Rs.  3.50 /unit
