Bihar Govt announces Summer Holidays in Schools after May 12 Earthquake

Patna: Bihar Government has announced Summer Holidays of Students for Government run schools from tomorrow in the wake of May 12 Earthquake which killed at least 16 people in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Tuesday that after today’s earthquake whose epicenter was Nepal, reports of casualties, injuries and damaged buildings have been received.

Kumar said that due compensation for the deceased and free medical treatment for the injured are being arranged. He added that there is a situation of panic and requested people to keep patience.

He also said that the state government has already prepared teams during last earthquake and are analyzing everything this time as well.

Kumar further announced that the schools shall remain closed from tomorrow onwards preponing summer holidays.
