Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday launched interactive voice response system(IVRS) for monitoring of mid-day meal (MDM) scheme in government schools in the state.
With this, Bihar became the 2nd state in the country after Uttar Pradesh to launched the interective voice response system (IVRS) monitoring programme for mid-day meal programme in the government schools.
The state education department had initiated the IVRs system based on Indian railway and cooking gas to check irregularity in the mid-day meal programme in schools of Bihar. 75,000 headmasters of government schools have been trained for effective the implementation of the programme, education department sources said.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar while launching IVRS monitoring system, lauded the state education department for its initiative in this regard and said idea was to ensure 100 per cent coverage of students under mid day meal programme in Bihar.
