5 Year Old Rape Victim in Delhi showing Signs of Recovery

The five-year old rape victim is showing signs of recovery. She is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Briefing the media on the latest health condition of the little girl, Medical Superintendent of the hospital DK Sharma said that she is stable and talking to her parents and doctors.

Dr Sharma said her wounds are healing well and infection is subsiding. Sharma said the girl is on semi-liquid diet.

Meanwhile, the second accused in the brutal sexual assault on the five-year-old girl, Pradeep has been arrested from Lakhi Sarai district of Bihar.

The first accused Manoj Kumar was sent to judicial custody on Sunday till the 4th of next month.

The condition of the victim of brutal sexual assault is stable. Medical Superintendent of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, Dr. DK Sharma said that she is responding well to treatment and her condition is stable after undergoing surgery. Dr Sharma said that there is no threat to her life though she is having mild fever.

Meanwhile, people in different parts of the national capital protested against the incident on Sunday. Dozens of people laid siege to the Police Headquarters, demanding dismissal of Delhi Police Commissioner. Two Police officials have already been suspended for negligence of duty in the case.
